The Ark – Seen AND Heard: The Ark Children’s Council
Over the course of 6 months we filmed multiple sessions of The Ark’s Childrens Council. Made up of 30 children from all backgrounds the council advises the Ark on their programme, allowing them to incorporate true child consultation in their work from the earliest stages. The council has been in existence 3 years and this short documentary delves into their history and development in that time.
Fingal Success Stories: Hope Beer
As part of a project with Fingal County Council to highlight some of the great businesses in Fingal who have received support from the Local enterprise Office it produced this video with Hope Beer. We went out to the brewery in Howth Junction to see where the magic happens and took a bit of the magic home as well!
IMMA: Jaki Irvine – If the Ground Should Open…
It was a pleasure to interview Jaki about her current exhibition at IMMA If the Ground Should Open. She spoke very insightfully and to be able to combine this with some of the audio from the show and footage of what I think is a very important and powerful exhibition. Mater Misericordiae University Hospital – New Building Launch
This video was produced for MCO Projects the Project Managers of the new Building in the Mater Hospital in Dublin. One of the largest building projects undertaken in the past decade in Dublin.
IAPI ADFX Trophy: Creativity in Practice
it works with IAPI, The Irish Advertising Practitioners Institute, on a regular basis. In the lead up to their big bi-annual award ceremony in 2014 we shot video pieces with the judges explaining each award which were then shown at the event. IAPI also commissioned NCAD in Dublin to produce a new type of award for the ceremony. This, is about that.
Make 2015
Composing videos from interviews is one thing but shooting those interviews on the back of a moving bus is quite another. For Theatre Forum & Dublin Fringe’s MAKE programme in 2015 it did just that. MAKE is an artist residency programme which occurs every year. Interviewing the participants mere minutes after they had left the programme it was able to get the freshest of perspectives on the programme.
Tiny Plays: The Writers
In 2012 Fishamble: The New Play Company, produced Tiny Plays. A play composed of 25 other plays mostly by first time writers who had been selected via a newspaper competition. by throwing out everything except the interview footage it was able to highlight even further the feeling of some of these writers in being selected for the play.
